Participant studies: I take your data collection off your hands.
You need solid data about people – but have neither the time nor the staff to collect it? Then you can have your participant study run externally. As an external researcher I take on the role of experimenter – from the research question through recruiting participants and collecting data in the lab or the field, to an analysable data set and a report.

how_i_work
Involved, not outsourced.
A study can be outsourced completely. There are institutes for that. My work is set up differently: research is my main occupation, and I support you on your project roughly the way good supervision accompanies a thesis – closely involved, methodologically strict, with you rather than for you. Responsibility for the study stays in your organisation, and so does the knowledge.
- No laboratories, equipment or participant pools of my own. I work on your premises, in the field or online.
- Recruitment: online through panels such as Prolific; on site you use your own pool, or we bring in a service provider.
- Ethics: I write applications or advise on your internal guidelines, depending on what your organisation requires.
- Scale: from a single test day for a usability study to several weeks of data collection on site.
